Bring your group to Ateneum!

Guided workshop courses can also be reserved for groups!

How would you like experience Ateneum’s exhibitions and collections by creating art yourself? Reserve a workshop for your group, and after a little tuition you all try experimenting with different techniques that open up new perspectives your familiar surroundings and art.

Workshop courses can be reserved for groups in Swedish, English or Russian. These workshops are also suitable for persons with reduced mobility.

LINE PLAY – portrait workshop, duration 2 h
See your colleagues or friends with new eyes! Work in pairs to create portrait interpretations by drawing and painting, not forgetting your sense of humour along the way. The workshop includes a short guided tour in the Collections or in the current exhibition.

CRISS-CROSS – scraperboard technique, duration 2 h
The scraperboard is a technique used by illustrators and cartoonists, in which the black surface of the board is scraped off, revealing white lines. The technique is easy but produces impressive results, and it is suitable for beginners and more advanced image-makers alike. The workshop includes a brief guided tour of either the collection or a current exhibition.

Participants: max 20 participants
For larger groups a workshop package with two separate workshops can be arranged.
