Opening day: One Hundred Years of Friendship

The centenary exhibition of the Friends of the Ateneum, One Hundred Years of Friendship (15 August–6 October 2019), opens to the public.

At 12:00 and 16:00 (third floor, exhibition hall 33) the exhibition curator Hanne Selkokari presents the exhibition. In Finnish. Admission is included in the museum entrance fee, or with a Museum Card or a Friends of the Ateneum membership card.

One Hundred Years of Friendship presents works of art donated and funded by the Friends of the Ateneum, in honour of the association’s centenary. The exhibition shows, from different perspectives, how the collection has been formed, and how art has been acquired and sourced. The artists featured in the exhibition include Marcus Collin, Alexander Lauréus, Anitra Lucander, Helene Schjerfbeck and Hugo Simberg. Read more about the exhibition.
