You are invited to a happy summer party! Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating the opening of the Silent Beauty exhibition on Fri 14 June, 10:00–18:00, which is the first day the exhibition will be open to the public. Free admission!
Explore the Silent Beauty and Stories of Finnish Art exhibitions, participate in a flower workshop, enjoy choral singing in the main stairwell, or let loose to the beat of Finnish pop hits. You are also invited to listen to the opening speeches for the exhibition in the Ateneum courtyard at 16:00.
Enjoy the exhibition set to a soothing sonic backdrop, which is created by the sound practitioner and sound yogini, Anna Raiko.

10:30 Time Travelling, an introduction to the Stories of Finnish Art exhibition, suitable for all ages. In Finnish.

15:30 Kallion Kantaattikuoro choir: Kallioiden kaikua (‘Echoing Rocks’). The choir will present music by, for example, Heino Kaski, Toivo Kuula, Selim Palmgren and Jean Sibelius.
Courtyard, ground floor
12:00–15:00 Flowers into Jewellery workshop. Use flowers to create a piece of jewellery, such as a brooch, or a bow tie, or why not decorate your own beard with flowers!
16:00 The author and journalist Heikki Valkama opens the Silent Beauty exhibition. We will also hear a greeting by the Embassy of Japan in Finland.
16:30 Ville Leinonen and Futureiman. The singer-songwriter Ville Leinonen offers hot summer vibes to the beat of electronic Finnish pop hits! The show is a tribute to the pop lyricist Raul Reiman.
