Ateneum club nights are surprising and intimate gigs at the Ateneum Bistro. The series of club nights in the autumn presents a number of interesting Finnish artists and songwriters with engaging melodies and presence.
Wed 23 Oct Iisa duo, Ateneum Bistro
Iisa is a singer-songwriter known for her arresting, startlingly sensitive pop songs. At the Ateneum club, Iisa performs as a duo with the guitarist Omar Zakik. Published in late 2018, Iisa’s third studio album, Päivii, öitä (Days, Nights), introduced darker, deeper tones into the artist’s expression and easily exceeded the audience’s high expectations. Iisa, a distinguished lyricist, is also known for the numerous hits she has written for leading Finnish artists, including Kaija Koo, Laura Närhi, and Jannika B.
Club nights are held from 19:00 to 21:00, with showtime at 20:00.
Tickets, €20 (normal admission) and €15 (students), are available from the Ateneum online shop. A €1 service charge is added to the prices. The ticket includes admission to the exhibitions. Tickets can also be bought at the door before the show, subject to availability. When you arrive at the Ateneum, show your ticket at the ticket office or the museum shop, and you will receive a free pass to the exhibitions. Your free pass will be valid until the end of 2019.
