Hannaleena Heiska & Minna Tervamäki: Reflecting Reality

Reflective Reality is a multi-disciplinary performance that has evolved from the collaboration between the visual artist Hannaleena Heiska and the dancer-choreographer Minna Tervamäki. The collaboration between the artists began in 2015, and its longevity has enabled them to develop their process and discover a common world.

Reflecting Reality becomes an event in the meeting of two modes of expression, in their momentary nature. The performance combines painting with dance, colours and bodily movement, and the gazes of and deep interaction between the two artists. The work emphasises the interaction that happens in the moment, and it is like a mirror in which viewers reflect themselves.

Performers: Hannaleena Heiska and Minna Tervamäki feat. Timo Kaukolampi (music) and Anni Jokimies (dance)

The performance lasts for approximately one hour. Admission is included in the museum entrance fee, or with a Museum Card or a Friends of the Ateneum membership card. There is no pre-registration, and places are filled in order of arrival.

On Saturday 12 March, the performance will be part of the My Voice theme day.
