Buying a ticket at the Ateneum

Tickets are also sold at the door, but people buying tickets at the museum should be prepared for queues. Ticket sales at the door end one hour before the museum’s closing time.

Standard admission €19
Discounted admission €17 (students, pensioners, unemployed, conscripts, and non-military conscripts)
Under 18-year-olds free of charge

At the Ateneum, we accept cash (euros) and all major credit and debit cards. You can also pay the admission fee with the various Smartum, Edenred, ePassi and Eazybreak payment methods.

Pre-booking tickets

All pre-booked tickets to the exhibitions are sold through Lippu.fi. If you want to guarantee your admission to the museum at a preferred time, we recommend pre-booking your ticket.

Lippu.fi also accepts various yearly passes (including the Museum Card, press card, Friends of the Ateneum membership card, and teacher identity card) as means of payment. Tickets can also be pre-booked for people under 18 through Lippu.fi. The eligibility for a discounted or free ticket is checked at the entrance.

Depending on the chosen delivery method, a Lippu.fi service fee of two euros and a booking fee of at least one euro are added to all prices, including for tickets purchased through Lippu.fi, as well as tickets acquired with free-entry cards and tickets for under 18-year-olds. Only the ticket price of €19 or €17 will be charged for a ticket purchased at the museum.

In addition to being available on the Lippu.fi online service, tickets can be purchased from the Lippu.fi telephone service at +358 600 900 900 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:00, €2/minute + mobile call charge/local network charge) and at the Stockmann department store.
