Until further notice, all tickets to the museum are sold through Tickets to the Ateneum cannot be purchased on site.

Discounted admission €17 (students, pensioners, unemployed, conscripts, and non-military conscripts)  
Under 18-year-olds free of charge (NB: Until further notice, under 18-year-olds must pay the standard admission fee. The free admission opens, when the strictest restrictions are relaxed.)

All museum visitors must purchase a ticket with a set arrival time to ensure a safe visit to the museum. The Museum Card can be used for paying in Holders of other free-entry cards (e.g. press card, Friends of Ateneum, teachers) will be welcome to visit the Ateneum once the strictest coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.

Depending on the chosen delivery method, a service fee of two euros and a booking fee of at least one euro are added to all prices quoted above, including tickets purchased with free-entry cards.  

In addition to being available on the online service, tickets can be purchased from the telephone service at +358 600 900 900 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:00, €2/minute + mobile call charge/local network charge). Tickets can also be purchased at Stockmann.

Group rates are valid when the whole group is paid for in one transaction.

European Youth Card holders are eligible for the discounted admission of €17.

Yearly passes

Free admission with a Museum Card: €72 per year for a new card or €68 per year for the renewal of an existing card. Buy a Museum Card from the Ateneum!

Admission to the exhibitions is also free with a Friends of Ateneum membership card (€48 per year).

During each changing exhibition, there is one day of free admission. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, free admission days unfortunately have been cancelled until further notice.

Gift cards 

Buy a gift card to the Finnish National Gallery museums from Ticket Sales or the museum shop! The gift card is valid as a means of payment in museum shops and at service points at the Ateneum, Kiasma and Sinebrychoff art museums. 

The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. With the gift card, you can buy tickets, guided tours, workshops and museum shop products, for example. It cannot be used in museum restaurants or online shops.

The museum shop is online! Visit our web shop to explore the Finnish National Gallery’s selection and have your order shipped to your home. Entrance tickets to Ateneum’s events can also be purchased online.
