Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was a leading figure in modern Finnish applied art, and his glass, ceramic, wood and silver objects charmed international design circles in the 1950s and 1960s, while laying the foundation for the triumphs of Finnish design.

The photography exhibition will feature eight well-known Finnish artists: Elina Brotherus, Kira Gluschkoff, Pirjo Honkasalo, Jorma Puranen, Matti Saanio, Pentti Sammallahti, Rauno Träskelin ja Sakari Viika. Each artist will create a new work from their own point of view. These perspectives add to the image we have of Tapio Wirkkala and his philosophy.

The curator of the exhibition is the artist Maaria Wirkkala.
